The purpose of this course is to introduce classroom primary teachers to how they can provide music instruction to their students irrespective of their level of musical expertise and experience.

This course uses Mastering Music, an online music resource, to facilitate music learning by providing lessons in performing, composing, publishing and musicianship for students individually and in a class setting. These lessons have been mapped to the curriculum for each Year level (3-12) for easy assignment by teachers to student classes. The Mastering Music lessons are delivered using Google Classroom providing a seamless environment for teachers and students through a single logon with each student's work stored on their Google Drive.

On completion of this course, the classroom teacher will retain access to a single licence of Mastering Music to use in their classroom with their students.

This course has been divided into several sessions and each session must be completed to qualify for the accreditation.

Session 1: Mastering Music Registration using your Google Education account (15 mins)
Session 2: Assigning Lessons to your Students (30 mins)
Session 3: Performing on an Instrument (1 hour)
Session 4: Composing and Film Scoring (1 hour)
Session 5: Music Notation and Publishing (1 hour)
Session 6: Musicianship (1 hour)
Session 7: Wrap Up and Evaluation (15 mins)
