Course Outline:

This five hour course uses Alfred's Essentials of Music Theory (EMT) to engage students in learning music.
1. An Overview of EMT – Structure of Lessons, Group Maintenance, User Maintenance, View Scores (45 mins)
2. User and Group Maintenance – Setting up classes, importing and adding students; NSIP and SIF, Google Classroom (60 mins)
3. Planning Units of Work – examining contents, planning classroom activities, setting homework (60 mins)
4. Monitoring Student Progress – monitor student scores and set threshholds to achieve before proceeding (60 mins)
5. Assessment Results – using View Scores to export results; NSIP and SIF, Google Classroom (60 mins)
6. Fill out Evaluation Form (15 mins)
